Lighting
Recessed LED panels, troffers and integrated linear fittings sit within the grid module, so the lighting layout and the ceiling grid are set out together — not one fought into the other after the fact. Coordinating the two on paper first is what keeps the finished ceiling clean.
Services Access
Above the ceiling runs the air-conditioning, the sprinkler pipework, the data and the power. A lift-out suspended grid gives full access to all of it; a fixed plaster ceiling does not. Where a floor will be re-cabled or re-serviced, the suspended grid is the honest call, and we say so.

Standards & Materials
Where an office ceiling uses gypsum or drywall board — for a flat plastered soffit, a bulkhead or a feature — that board is specified to ASTM C1396 / EN 520, the recognised standards for gypsum board performance. Acoustic tiles are specified by their measured absorption (NRC, tested to ISO 354) and, where ceiling-to-ceiling speech privacy matters between rooms, by their CAC (Ceiling Attenuation Class). Where the floor uses worked POP for a designed reception or feature, POP is a craft finish with no product standard — its quality comes from the frame, the span and the curing, worked by a skilled hand. We attach a real standard where one exists and an honest method where one does not; we never invent a certificate for plaster.
