Heritage Cornice Restoration, Cape Coast
Restoration of original plaster cornices and ceiling roses at a heritage property in Cape Coast — profiles taken from surviving sections, cast and run in traditional plaster.
Heritage Cornice Restoration, Cape Coast
An institutionally owned heritage property in Cape Coast had lost long runs of its original plaster cornice to water damage. Ceiling GH took profiles from the surviving sections, cut running knives to match, and ran replacement lengths in traditional plaster alongside cast repairs to the ceiling roses. New work was toned into the old so the restored rooms read as one continuous period ceiling. Scope, materials and methods were documented for the owner’s conservation records; references are available on request.
